Hi, I'm Alan, and here's a little about me.
I am a highly motivated and determined individual who enjoys taking on new challenges and continuously developing my skills. I began my career at the age of 19 with very little experience and no formal qualifications in the industry. To prove myself, I took on an apprenticeship at a local IT shop, where I had the privilege of learning from highly skilled professionals who helped shape the foundations of my career.
Since those early days, my career has continued to evolve, with every role providing valuable experience and teaching me something new. Each opportunity has contributed to my professional growth and strengthened my passion for technology.
Today, I work in Cyber Security, a field that is both challenging and incredibly rewarding. I have established myself as a Subject Matter Expert in Data Loss Prevention (DLP), with solutions and initiatives I have worked on being adopted by well-established organisations across the globe. Helping businesses protect their data while enabling them to work effectively is something I take great pride in.
Technology has always been more than just a career for me—it's a genuine passion. I enjoy exploring new technologies, solving complex problems, and identifying the right solution for each unique requirement. While I have gained extensive knowledge throughout my career, I firmly believe that nobody knows everything. The technology landscape is constantly evolving, and there is always something new to learn. That's one of the things I love most about this industry.
I don't just enjoy what I do—I genuinely love it.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me relaxing with my family, or watching good series on Netflix or Prime Video, or following my football team. I also enjoy spending time with friends when time allows, which often involves a couple of beers and plenty of good conversation.
